Lea Katherine Thompson

Thompson was born in Rochester, Minnesota on May 31, 1961. She is the youngest of five children of Clifford Barry Thompson and Barbara Barry Thompson. She is the sister of Coleen Goodrich, Shannon Katona and Barry Katona. Her mother is Irish. Mikhail Baryshnikov, who was the artistic director at the time, said to herthat "You're a lovely dancer however, you're a bit bulky." That was her "epiphany" in which she said that was the point that made me choose to stop dancing and quit being an ballet dancer.
