Dawson, born May 9, 1979in the United States, is an American actress. She made
her feature-film debut in the 1995 film, an independent drama Kids. The roles
she played in subsequent films include He Got Game (1998), Josie and the
Pussycats (2001), Men in Black II (2002), Rent (2005), Sin City (2005), Clerks
II (2006), Death Proof (2007), Seven Pounds (2008), Percy Jackson and the
Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), Unstoppable (2010), Zookeeper (2011),
Trance (2013), Top Five (2014) and Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). Dawson also
voice-overs for Warner Bros./DC Comics and ViacomCBS Nickelodeon's Nickelodeon
unit. In her role in Rent, Dawson was awarded the Satellite Award in Best
Supporting Actress Motion Picture. And for Top Five, Dawson was nominated to
the Critics' Choice Movie Award in Best actress in Comedy. Dawson was born May
9, 1979 in New York City. Isabel Celeste, her mother, is Afro-Cuban. Rosario
was 16 years old at the time of her birth. Isabel never married Patrick C.
Harris the her biological father. Rosario's mother, Greg Dawson, was a
construction worker when she was only one year old. Dawson is four years older
than Clay. Clay is Dawson’s half-brother. Dawson is also famous for playing a
variety of roles in comic-book adaptations.These include Gail in Sin City
(2005) and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple in five of the
series from Marvel/Netflix (2015-2018) and voiceovers for Diana Prince/Wonder
Woman in the DC Animated Movie Universe and Space Jam: A New Legacy and Barbara
Gordon/Batgirl in The Lego Batman Movie. She portrayed Ahsoka Tano in The
Mandalorian's second season in 2020 , and will play the role in the Disney+
original series Ahsoka. She will also be a regular role in the Dwayne Johnson
autobiographical comedy series Young Rock in 2021.
