Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy is a Canadian actress and singer. Her most well-known work is her roles in the American television series Law & Order, on which she played prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons, and Crossing Jordan, on which she played the lead character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She also appeared in movies like RoboCop 3 & Most Wanted and in independent films Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. The movie was written and directed by her. Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat seller and an executive in sales and marketing. This job required many trips and caused frequent family changes. Maxine her mother, who was Maxine's passed away in the year 1982. She left her daughter in the care of Eleanor Her paternal grandmother. Her younger brother named John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and a identical twin sister, Jacqueline, who is a magazine writer and TV show host in Canada. Hennessy is from Irish, French and Swedish descent, as well as Ukrainian Roma and Austrian ancestry. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School and then was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario and busked in the Toronto subway. Hennessy was the younger sister of her brother. They made their debut on stage in 1988 as twin call-girls in the TV show Dead Ringers. According to Gillian Anderson (the actress who played the part) she was a finalist for Dana Scully's part in The X-Files. In 1993, Hennessy was signed by Dick Wolf as Claire Kincaid, assistant district attorney in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role was held for three seasons, before she was fired in 1996.
