Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter of Kjellfrid Andreassen and was a former midwife as well as a nurse from Norway. Her birth date was April 25 the year 1969 in Katy. Emil Erich Zellweger, her father, is a Swiss engineer. The two became married in 1963. Drew Zellweger is Renee's brother and was born on the 15th of February 1967. Renee became interested in acting in high school while working on the drama club. She attended an acting class at University of Texas (Austin) and started to think about acting as a career. She was determined to pursue acting following graduation. But, Hollywood can be difficult to enter, therefore Renee determined to stay in Texas and try out for roles in Houston. There, she got roles in films such as Reality Bites (1994), and Empire Records (1995). On the set of the sequel, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994) she made friends with Matthew McConaughey, another Hollywood rising star. Renee was able to observe him working on a project that interested her. She auditioned and was offered the role in Love and A.45 (1994). The film brought her critical acclaim for her to make the decision to move to Los Angeles. Another part in The Whole Wide World (1996) came next, and led to her biggest break. Cameron Crowe was busy casting Jerry Maguire (1996) with Tom Cruise. Crowe was thinking about such actresses like Cameron Diaz, Bridget Fonda, Winona Ryder, and Marisa Tomei. He was enthralled when he saw Zellweger's performance in The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was confident that she was his Dorothy Boyd. After following her success in a handful of independent films, Renee felt confident enough to return to the big-budget Hollywood film industry. Meryl Streep played her in One True Thing (1998). She also played in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) with Jim Carrey and shortly after she started dating Jim Carrey. in the title role in Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
