Ayelet Zurer

Ayelet Zurer is among Israel's most well-known actresses. Born in Tel Aviv in 1967, she first attracted Hollywood's attention after she was cast in the role of Eric Bana's wife on the Oscar(r), nominated movie Munich (2005). After arriving in the United States, Zurer has been in Studio films like Sony Pictures' Vantage Point featuring Dennis Quaid and William Hurt as well as Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Pieces with Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected in the role of Jeff Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons is opposite Tom Hanks. Darling companion Lawrence Kasdan's film which stars Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline, and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel with Russell Crow. Russell Crow, is Ron Howard. Ewan McGregor was the director of Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in the Desert. She eagerly awaited the release of The Last Knights, a film directed by Kazuaki Kiriya that stars Clive Owen. For her role as Hostages the lead actress, she won the Gold Nymph Award at the 54th Festival of Television of Monte-Carlo. Ayelet has been awarded the Israeli Film And Television Academy Award for her role as the lead in Nina's Tragedies. She was nominated for her performances in the films Only Dogs Run Free (from the Holy Apple Field), Desperado, Rutenberg, and The Dybuk from Holy Apple Field. Zurer was awarded the Haifa International Film Festival critic prize , and was awarded a star on Haifa’s "film boulevard" for her international and local accomplishments. Zurer was also honored with the Israeli Television Academy Award for her performance in "In Treatment", an internationally acclaimed TV series, which has been made available for American television by HBO. In 2014 She was nominated as an apposite actress in the year's most popular drama "Shtisel" however she was awarded the title of best actress in a show for her performance as a brilliant surgeon faced with the life and death dilemma in Hostages which was sold to BBC4 and Canal Plus, and as an option to the American ABC. She is the "face " of one of Israel's biggest women's fashion companies- Golbary. She is a producer as well as a writer. Ayelet is working on a few projects in Israel and in the USA. She expressed desire to collaborate internationally with directors from around the globe, as she believes in collaborating with writers and directors who are not well-known.
