Milena Govich
Milena Govich is an actress director, musician, and actor. She has directed a number of episodes of TV, including Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Milena served as the Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf's CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently attached for two pilots. Milena was selected as one of the eight directors to take part in AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable, her short film and TV series proof of concept, was shown at SXSW. It also took home Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017 written by Milena Vandervoort) has been shown all across the nation. It was awarded Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival and Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award was also presented at the Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has been an actor in over 100 television shows. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her debut on CBS. Then she became the first and only female detective on Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have been a part of her, or have recurred. Milena also appeared in a number of films, like Sordid Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011) as a co-star with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She has also appeared on stage with Method Man. Milena is from Norman, Oklahoma native. When she was valedictorian at her high school she then went on to earn the double major in vocal performance and premed with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma. Soon after, Milena used her ballet education to appear on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production "Cabaret" in Studio 54.
