Ava DuVernay and Autumn Riley

Ava DuVernay born August 24, 72 from Long Beach California. DuVernay received encouragement from Aunt Denise as a little girl. Aunt Denise was a nurse who was a night shift worker so she could devote her days to art literature and theatre. DuVernay was a fan of the movie West Side Story, which she brought to her. DuVernay realized that art could be a powerful tool to promote social activism. Her mother was also a an awareness of social issues and showed DuVernay to express herself through artwork. DuVernay was a summer resident of Lowndes County Alabama, where her father was born and raised. DuVernay's dad recalled the protests for civil rights that took place over the Edmund Pettus Bridge and the Selma town that was nearby, Alabama. DuVernay used the summers she spent in Alabama to inspire her film Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. DuVernay graduated from Saint Joseph High School Lakewood California in 1990. After graduation, she studied in the University of California Los Angeles where she earned degrees in English and African American study. DuVernay started broadcasting journalism as an elementary school student. Her career began working as an assistant at CBS News in the O.J. Simpson trial. DuVernay recalls being tasked to watch the home of one of the members of the jury, and then go through their garbage. Due to her duties, she became dissatisfied with journalism and moved into the public relations industry. DuVernay found a job immediately after college as a publicist in the young age of a studio. The company she founded for her own PR, The DuVernay Agency was created in 1999. In addition to PR her agency also launched several lifestyle and promotional networks including The Urban Beauty Collective, Urban Thought Collective, Urban Eye and HelloBeautiful. Autumn Riley.............................Autumn Riley was born in Los Angeles United States. Autumn Riley has the birth name of. Her fame is due to her role as Anna Payne in American Experience, (1987) A More Perfect Union and A More Perfect Union (2009). Autumn has played the roles in the roles of Rose and Anna Payne for A More Perfect Union.
